West Chester Pike, Bryn Mawr Ave In Newtown Impacted By Work Next Week
PennDOT said the work will force lane closures on West Chester Pike and a full closure of Bryn Mawr Avenue next week.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Two roads in Newtown Township will be impacted by overnight PennDOT work next week, according to officials.
From Sunday to Tuesday, a lane closure is scheduled on West Chester Pike/Route 3 in both directions between Boot Road and Charles Ellis Drive for milling and paving.
Then from Wednesday to Thursday, a lane closure is scheduled on West Chester Pike in both directions between St. Albans Avenue and Bryn Mawr Avenue for curb and sidewalk reconstruction.

These lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
Lastly, Bryn Mawr Avenue will be closed and detoured at the intersection with Route 3 from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, July 29 for drainage installation.

During the Bryn Mawr Avenue closure, drivers will be directed to use West Chester Pike and Sproul Road/Route 320.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
