West Chester Pike Lanes Closing In Marple This Week
Lanes will close daily on West Chester Pike, and overnight Wednesday the eastbound lanes of the road will close entirely, PennDOT said.
MARPLE, PA – Motorists will encounter single lane closures in both directions on West Chester Pike/Route 3 between the Interstate 476 Interchange and New Ardmore Avenue in Marple Township.
The closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, through Friday, Nov. 30, for excavation.
In addition, eastbound West Chester Pike/Route 3 will be closed and detoured between Interstate 476 and New Ardmore Avenue on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead sign removal.

During the closure, eastbound West Chester Pike/Route 3 motorists will be directed to use New Ardmore Avenue, Sproul Road/Route 320, and Lawrence Road. During the work, drivers will have access to the ramp to I-476 North.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
