West Chester Pike Lanes Closing In Newtown Square
Daytime and nighttime lane closures will affect traffic on West Chester Pike in both directions for varying lengths starting next week.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Portions of West Chester Pike in Newtown Square will have lane closures starting next week and lasting different lengths.
According to PennDOT, West Chester Pike lanes will close in both directions between Boot Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue Monday, July 8 through Friday, Aug. 30.
These lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

And from Tuesday, July 9, through Thursday, July 18, West Chester Pike will have an overnight lane closure in both directions between Boot Road and Charles Ellis Drive.
Lanes will be closed weekdays from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

The lane closures are accommodating work under a local safety improvement project.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
