DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Coronavirus cases continue to swell in Delaware County, with a total of 3,514 reported as of Tuesday afternoon. The county has confirmed 164 deaths from COVID-19, as well.

Among the hardest-hit communities are Lansdowne, Upper Darby, Media, and Darby, new data from the state shows. Upper Darby and Media both reported more than a hundred new cases in the past week.

More than two-thirds of Bucks County's coronavirus cases have been among residents of nursing homes or other personal care facilities, officials said.

Across the state, 43,264 total cases have been reported. Of the state's cases, 8,280 of them are linked to long-term care facilities, like nursing homes.

There have been 1,716 deaths among Pennsylvania residents.
