Whole Foods Coming to Newtown Square

Newtown Square is getting a Whole Foods.

The grocery chain has signed a lease at Ellis Preserve, the company said.

“While we have deep roots in Pennsylvania – in the Philadelphia area in particular – this new store will allow that commitment to grow even stronger,” said Scott Allshouse, Whole Foods Market Mid-Atlantic Regional President. “We look forward to meeting the people of Newtown Square, serving the community and creating win-win partnerships with local suppliers – showing what it truly means to be ‘America’s Healthiest Grocery Store’.”

The Newtown Square location will be a 40,000-square-foot store; no opening date has been announced.
