Win A Chance To Ride A Broomall Firetruck To School

The Broomall Fire Company is offering a ride to school on one of its trucks for elementary kids who design a top-notch fire safety poster.

BROOMALL, PA — National Fire Prevention Week is ongoing through Saturday, and the Broomall Fire Company is asking elementary school children to design a fire safety poster for a chance to ride a firetruck to school.

The fire company is hosting its first-ever Fire Prevention Poster Contest.

The contest is open to kids in kindergarten through fifth grade at local elementary schools.

To enter, kids must visit the National Fire Prevention Association's website here to learn about fire safety and prevention.

Then, they design a poster using what they learned on the website and must include the phrase "Fire won't wait, plan your escape" on the poster.

Completed posters can be turned in to the main office at the student's school or at the Broomall Fire Company, 1 N. Malin Road in Broomall.

Entrants are reminded to include their name, parent's phone number, and elementary school name on the back of the poster.

The contest is limited to one poster per student.

Posters are due by Nov. 1 and winners from participating schools will be selected on Nov. 18.
