Woman Charged With Felony Fraud After Stealing $1K: Marple Police

Police said a New Jersey woman used the victim's debit card to steal $1,000 which was used on hotel rooms and a car loan.

BROOMALL, PA — A New Jersey woman has been charged with felony fraud and related crimes after police said she stole money from a Delaware County resident.

According to Marple Township Police, Patricia Fitzgerald, 22, of Trenton, New Jersey, is charged with felony access device fraud and theft by unlawful taking.

A resident told police on Jan. 20 that they noticed $1,000 missing from their bank account.

Police said the victim still had their debit card and that the only person who would have access to the card would have been Fitzgerald, a former healthcare worker.

Detectives confirmed Fitzgerald used the card to pay for hotel rooms and a car loan.

A warrant has been requested for Fitzgerald's arrest, police said.
