Work Affecting Marple, Newtown Roads Next Week: PennDOT

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — PennDOT work will affect two roads in Marple and Newtown Townships starting Sunday and Monday.

According to PennDOT, Newtown Street Road/Route 252 in Newtown Township and Sproul Road/Route 320 in Marple Township will have lane restrictions due to resurfacing work and pavement marker installation.

PennDOT said motorists will encounter lane restrictions on Newtown Street Road overnight from Sunday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 9.

Restrictions will be in place each night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

The affected stretch of the road is between Gradyville Road and White Horse Road.

And in Marple, Sproul Road will have restrictions Monday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Oct. 9.

Restrictions will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m each day.

Work will take place between West Chester Pike/Route 3 and Clyde Road in Marple and Radnor townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
