Work Affecting Roads In Marple, Newtown Overnight This Week

Crack sealing work, as well as milling work, will affect several roads in Marple and Newtown townships this week, PennDOT said.

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — PennDOT said overnight work on roads in Marple and Newtown will affect traffic this week.

PennDOT crews will be conducting crack sealing work Monday through Friday.

Work will be done from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

Below are the restricted road in MArple and Newtown:

  • Gradyville Road between Bishop Hollow Road and Creek Road in Newtown, Edgmont and Thornbury townships;
  • Paxton Hollow Road/Palmers Mill Road between Route 320 (Sproul Road) and Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) in Marple Township;
  • Media Line Road between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) in Marple and Newtown townships;
  • and
  • Route 320 (Sproul Road/Spring Mill Road) between Baltimore Pike and County Line Road in Radnor, Springfield and Marple townships.

Additionally, PennDOT said a portion of Bryn Mawr Avenue between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and the Bryn Mawr Avenue bridge over Darby Creek in Newtown and Radnor townships will have a lane closure from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
