• Roaring Spring woman accused of stealing $35K (altoonamirror.com) — Police say a Roaring Spring woman is accused of stealing nearly $35,000 over several months from JD's Detailing on Cove Land Road in Martinsburg, after hidden-camera footage allegedly showed repeated unauthorized entries into the office and safe. North Woodbury Township officers have filed multiple felony charges, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 24.
   

• Penn State Extension to Hold FSMA Training Series for Pennsylvania Growers in 2027 (food-safety.com) — Penn State Extension is bringing a full-day Food Safety Modernization Act produce safety training to Martinsburg on January 12, 2027, at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park. Local fruit and vegetable growers can earn official certification, learn best practices, and choose between this in-person session or several other dates and virtual options across Pennsylvania, all for a $50 registration fee.
