5 More Die In Delco From Coronavirus Over Weekend
Since Friday, Delaware County has seen five more deaths due to the new coronavirus. However, the county has seen 3,642 negative tests.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Updated figures on the new coronavirus in Delaware County show several deaths occurred over the weekend and that more than 820 cases are in the county now.
The county's website with COVID-19 figures show there are now 15 deaths in the county.
New deaths reported over the weekend were in Middletown Township, which had three more deaths; Newtown Township, which had its first death; and Darby Borough, which had its first death.

Below are municipalities that have had coronavirus deaths, and the number of victims:
- Newtown Township — 1 death
- Middletown Township — 4 deaths
- Darby Borough — 1 death
- Marple Township — 4 deaths
- Ridley Park Borough — 1 death
- Springfield Township — 1 death
- Ridley Township — 2 deaths
- Yeadon Borough — 1 death
As of Monday afternoon, the county has 822 cases. Additionally, there have been 3,642 negative test results in the county.

Upper Darby Borough has the highest concentration of cases with 89 cases.
There are 257 pending cases in the county, as well.
