Trusty was first spotlighted by Media Patch as a 12-year-old “Whiz Kid,” recognized for his Springton Lake Middle School leadership, multi-sport talent, and volunteer work delivering food to local churches.    

• Mom killed in N.J. crash after driving through police barriers is ID'd (nj.com subscription) — A woman from Media was killed in a pre-dawn crash on Route 1 in West Windsor, N.J., after driving through police barricades from an earlier collision and striking a tractor-trailer. Police say surveillance video shows her briefly stopping, then maneuvering around traffic cones before the impact, and they’re still seeking information from anyone who witnessed either crash.
