Downed Tree Clogs Route 1 In Delco During Morning Commute

MEDIA, PA — A downed tree has caused lane closures Monday morning on Route 1 northbound in Delaware County, according to 511PA.

The incident happened early Monday on Route 1 — locally known as the Media Bypass — between the exit to Route 252 (to Media/Newtown Square) and the exit to Interstate 476 (to Plymouth Meeting/Chester).

The traffic impacts weren't immediately clear.

Route 1 is expected to fully reopen by around 11 a.m., 511PA says.
