• Media Council Member 'Forced To Resign' After Becoming Delco's Public Defender (patch.com) — Media residents are seeing a shakeup on Borough Council after member Taylor Dunn stepped down because state law bars him from serving as both chief public defender and a paid elected official. Council accepted his resignation and now must appoint a replacement by mid-September, with candidate interviews set for Sept. 9 and 10 and a final decision expected at the Sept. 17 meeting.
   

• Center for Social Impact secures internship grant for 2026-27 academic year (psu.edu) — Penn State Brandywine in Media has secured a $5,000 sustainability grant to fund a new Sustainability Engagement Internship for the 2026–27 academic year. One student will lead the campus garden as a "living laboratory," coordinating harvest days, composting, and food access efforts tied to the Center for Social Impact's pantry. This initiative should deepen hands-on sustainability and community engagement opportunities right in Media.
