3 Cats Killed In Apartment Fire In Delco: Reports

TRAINER, PA — Multiple cats died in a fire Tuesday night at an apartment building in Delaware County, according to reports.

Heavy flames spread through a second-floor apartment on the 3300 block of West 3rd Street in Trainer.

Some apartments in the seven-unit building were occupied when the fire started, but every person safely escaped, according to 6abc Action News.

However, a pet owner told NBC10 that three cats died, while two survived.

Some firefighters broke open the roof while others battled the blaze inside, officials said. Photos shared by the Aston Township Fire Department show heavy damage in at least one apartment.

It's unclear how many residents were displaced.

Officials believe he fire started on the second floor, but the cause remains under investigation, says NBC10.
