SECANE, PA — A Regional Rail train struck and injured a woman Thursday night in Delaware County, according to SEPTA officials.
The woman got onto the tracks at around 11 p.m. near Secane Station on the Media/Wawa Line.
A train engineer saw her and applied the emergency breaks. But there wasn't enough time to stop the train before the collision, officials said.
An ambulance took the woman to the hospital. Her condition wasn't immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
