The polls have closed, and the tally is underway for Delaware County's open space referendum. (See results below.)
Delco residents voted on whether to authorize the county government to borrow up to $120 million to finance land-conservation projects.
County officials say the funds will help protect drinking water, protect air quality, conserve wetlands to prevent flooding, and protect natural areas from development.
If the majority of voters approve the measure, the Delaware County Council will have 10 years to issue bonds if they choose to. Borrowing the full $120 million would cost the average household $24 per year.
The ongoing tally for the referendum is below. The results are unofficial until certified on a later date.
