Attempted Murder, Robbery Suspect Taken Into Custody
Authorities took Zahkee Austin into custody Tuesday morning after identifying him as a suspect in a Delaware County attempted murder.

MIDDLETOWN, PA — The man sought by authorities in connection with an attempted murder in Delaware County and other crimes in the region has been reportedly taken into custody.
Action News reports Zahkee Austin, 22, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody in South Philadelphia Tuesday morning.
Austin was the center of an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police, who spent a few hours at a home in Middletown Township early Monday morning as they investigated an attempted murder, of which they accuse Austin.

State Police said Austin was also involved in an armed robbery that occurred in West Goshen Township, as well an armed robbery, a carjacking, and a shooting that all occurred in Philadelphia.
Authorities said all three incidents occurred late Sunday and early Monday morning, beginning with the carjacking of a man in Philadelphia.

In Middletown, Austin is accused of shooting a person in the face and another in the leg during a home invasion just after midnight Monday, Fox 29 reports.
The shooting victims are in the hospital, Action News reports.
Later, at about 3:50 a.m., authorities said he tried to rob a store on the 6700 block of Ogontz Avenue at gunpoint.
NBC10 reports an employee of the store was also armed and fired at Austin, who ran from the business.
Austin is in custody in Chester County.
Charges filed against him so far in Chester County are robbery, firearm crimes, theft, receiving stolen property — all felonies — false imprisonment, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, and more, court records show.
He is being held on $1 million bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 14, according to court documents.
