Buy eBooks and Help Libraries

If you buy eBooks through the DCLS digital library page, a portion of the sale will help buy more library eBooks.

The Delaware County Library System provides a popular eBook and downloadable audiobook lending service. The service includes popular fiction, travel guides, language learning audiobooks. Use of this digital library has grown tremendously in the last few years. In fact, in 2011, use exceeded the combined total of 2007 (when the service began) through 2010.

In 2012, use will be close to double that of 2011.

However, not all titles are available for libraries to purchase and there are sometimes long wait times before you can read a popular title. If you decide to purchase the eBook, you can help fund more library eBooks.

Just visit the DCLS web site, www.delcolibraries.org and click the download icon to go to the digital library catalog. On the left side of the screen is an icon to “Help your library WIN.” If you click that icon, you will be brought to a page with links to major online book vendors. If you use one of these links to make a purchase, DCLS will receive a portion of sale. The vendors include Amazon.com, Barnes & Nobel and Powell’s Books.
