In this Economy, Why Use an Interior Designer?!
If you're like most homeowners, you want a beautifully custom designed look, but truly don't know how to make that vision a reality.
You might not be sure of “what” goes “where” – or with “what.” Design professionals can oversee a project from concept to completion.
Most of them actually educate you as to why some choices are better than others and about the factors that need to be taken into account. Had you actually considered your body dimensions when selecting the right sofa? Which fabrics are best for pets?

Perhaps you might actually be able to begin your new design project by building on what you already have, rather than throwing everything out and starting from scratch. They might even suggest building the new design around the table that your grandfather built!
You might even fear that if you call an interior designer, your home will end up featuring that individual’s taste – not yours. An experienced designer takes into account your personal taste, preferences, lifestyle and even budget while selecting furnishings that uniquely suit you.

And last, but certainly not least, you might not even be sure you can afford the services of a professional designer. They can actually help save you valuable time and money by guiding your decision making process through a myriad of functional and decorative ideas.
These photos demonstrate how an interior designer transformed the home and lives of a recently retired Newtown Square couple.
The space was looking tired, dated and diunified. They agreed that their favorite element of the original room was the fabric collages that flanked the fireplace. These would inspire the harmonious new design.
The subtle colors of the existing rug established the cream, gold and green color scheme. They sat in two chairs that each had gotten used to on opposite sides of this large room. The homeowners were looking for a family room make over that gave the husband and wife the ultimate in comfort recliners (despite the difference in their heights, he at 6'5 and she at 5'4") for their everyday activities but when they had gatherings in their home, the chairs could swivel forming two conversation areas.
The outcome was all that they had desired.
The bottom line, however, is that a professionally trained interior decorator can not only make your ideas work better, but they know to make your decorating dreams a reality.
