New York Times: Importance of Taking Children to Broadway Shows
Why is it important to attend a Broadway musical with your children? My latest blog entry explains.
The New York Times recently had a wonderful article, written by a parent of teens, that expounds upon the importance of taking your children to Broadway shows, particularly musicals.
It's especially fitting for this region, as Delaware County's only professional music theatre (explained in my last blog) sits proudly on State Street in Media--The Media Theatre!

It speaks to the fact that attending Broadway shows with your children and teens opens up dialogue allowing a stronger connection between parents and their sons and daughters as well as opening the minds of a younger generation to a broader perspective on life in general.
The parallel to this region is that, if a family cannot afford a trip to Broadway, perhaps the same stronger connections can be made by attending shows in this region which are much more affordable.
