OβMaraβs motion to honor Malinowski can be found in section seven of the bill.
Malinowski is widely remembered for his selfless service to the community and for serving on the companyβs board of directors where he provided department trainings and helped repair the companyβs crew room.
"The loss of Captain Malinowski was a tragic and devastating one. He was an instrumental member of the Morton-Rutledge Fire Company, and his department and community sorely miss him," OβMara said. "This fallen hero is so deserving of this bridge dedication for protecting and serving his community. I believe honoring his legacy is the least we can do to show our thanks and respect."
The bill also seeks to rename a portion of a Philadelphia road after Sgt. James O'Connor, who was shot and killed while serving a search warrant in March.
