The fifth annual Father Bill Atkinson Pilgrimage will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The Pilgrimage is a journey of faith and friendship seeking the intercession of S.O.G. Father Bill Atkinson. We will begin at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on Villanova's Campus at 3:30pm with a prayer service led by Father Rob Hagan, O.S.A. We will then begin a 4-mile accessible walk to Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Wayne. August 1: Lammas
Kick off the harvest season with Lammas! Rooted in centuries-old traditions, Lammas (or “Loaf Mass”) marked the gathering of the grain and the baking of the first bread from the new crop. Explore the vital role of farmers and grain production during the Revolution through hands-on farming activities to thresh, winnow, and grind the site’s heritage grains and bread breaking in the farmhouse kitchen.&nbsp;

The farm is open from 11 AM to 4 PM with last admission at 3 PM. Tickets are $14 for Adults, $10 Children, and $7 Members.

The 25th Anniversary of 911 will be remembered at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial with an event beginning at 8AM.&nbsp; Bugler Martin Holahan will be featured by playing TAPS 4 times to correspond with the time of each event on September 11, 2001.&nbsp; Featured Speakers, State and Local dignitaries&nbsp; will also be in attendance for the event.&nbsp; The public is invited to join us as we Honor the Fire, Police and Emergency Responders.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Discover more than 30,000 books and thousands of additional items available across all three floors of the library. Our selection is continually refreshed after every sale. Signage throughout the library will guide you to the correct floor, and our friendly volunteers are always available to help.
Sale items include hardback, paperback and coffee table books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, puzzles, games, sheet music, and vintage &amp; ephemera items.
This is a well-organized sale with all items sorted into categories. The books are stored on shelves (not in boxes) in our 4,000 square-foot shopping area and are categorized into fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi/horror, teen literature, and children’s. Fiction is alphabetized by author. Non-fiction is categorized by subject. 
Sale prices are:
<ul><li>Saturday: Most items are priced at $3 (or as marked)</li><li>Sunday: “½ Price Day” - Most items are priced at $1.50</li><li>Monday: “Bag Sale” day - $5 for a grocery store-sized bag</li></ul>


Cash, check, and some electronic payments (credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo) accepted. Minimum of $10 purchase for electronic payments.
All proceeds from the sale go to the Media-Upper Providence Free Library. In addition to raising money for the library, the book sale also supports teachers in Title 1 schools in Delaware County and charitable organizations in our greater community.

I teach electric and acoustic guitar lessons in person close to Springfield and Swarthmore. I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years and have experience teaching all ages of students. I also perform with my classic rock band The Garage Bandits most weekends and can help students get comfortable playing in front of other people. My teaching space is located at 34 Yale Avenue, Morton, PA. Contact me for more information or to set up a free trial lesson! I will be starting a new group guitar class on April 20th! This class will run for 6 sessions over the course of 7 weeks on Mondays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The focus of this class will be on teaching song melodies to beginners, such as Ode To Joy by Beethoven and Happy Birthday. Each week I will introduce slightly more complicated melodies that will help develop students' ability to play single note melodies on the guitar.
