Not to worry. Delaware County Transportation Management Association (DCTMA) is your local partner in the “Commute95” project, a joint effort by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) and PennDOT.
We are working hard to help commuters STRESS LESS, plus SAVE TIME and MONEY. No kidding! DCTMA offers employees several suggestions to help you get to work more efficiently and economically. For example:

- Try Public Transit – SEPTA’s vast network of trains, buses, trolleys, subways and elevated rails serve all five counties in Greater Philadelphia. Employees can visit www.septa.org to map out the best commute.
- RideECO – Employees who take public transit or ride in a vanpool on a regular basis qualify for the RideEco benefit. Putting pre-tax dollars towards fares can save you more than $900 a year! www.dvrpc.org/RideECO
- Share-A-Ride is a computerized program that matches commuters with convenient transit services, car pools, vanpool groups, even bicycling and walking opportunities. Shared commutes can save employees money on gas, insurance and vehicle maintenance. Plus, you’re likely to get to work on time more often. www.dvrpc.org/SAR
- Emergency Ride Home (ERH) – Employees who regularly take alternative transportation to work can sign up for the ERH benefit. In the event of a true emergency, such as a sudden illness or injury, you’re eligible for reimbursement for a taxi, rental car, or public transit fare. www.dvrpc.org/MobilityAlternatives/ERH
Although it may seem confusing at times, there are many roads to an easier commute. For more information, visit www.dvrpc.org/commute95 or contact DCTMA at (610) 892-9440.
