Delco Libraries Launch Summer Quest 2020

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Libraries in Delaware County are launching a reading initiative that tasks residents with reading 5,000 books collectively this summer.

Delaware County Libraries invites all residents to participate in Summer Quest 2020.

Summer Quest 2020 features programs for every age group, from infants up to adults.

For our young readers, the program "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" will help parents keep track of books their children read.

Two versions of the "Imagine Your Story" program will be offered; one for kids and one for teenagers.

Adults are invited to participate in "The Quarantine Fifteen" program.

In addition to these program, Summer Quest includes a virtual version of the popular Journey Across Delco.

Using Beanstack, which can be accessed via the web or through an app, participants will be able to log books, complete challenges and activities, earn badges, and submit book reviews.

Summer Quest also has a community goal of reading a total 5,000 books by the summer's close.

All 26-member libraries are participating in Summer Quest. Residents can choose their preferred library during registration.
