Delco Man Left Sexually Explicit, Derogatory Messages To NJ Gov: Feds

ALDAN, PA — A Delaware County man was taken into custody by federal agents Wednesday after authorities said he stalked and harassed New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill in 2025.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Stephen Cilurso, 72, of Aldan, was apprehended in Aldan Wednesday.
Authorities said he left sexually explicit and derogatory messages to Sherrill in October and November last year. Sherrill at the time was a sitting congresswoman and New Jersey gubernatorial candidate.

A warrant for Cilurso's arrest on charged of stalking and harassment was issued Jan. 22, according to the U.S. Marshals.
Cilurso previously pleaded guilty to four counts of harassment in Montgomery County after authorities said he left harassing and lewd voicemail messages left at an office of Rep. Madeleine Dean (PA-4th District) in early 2021. He was sentenced to probation in that case.

Montgomery County authorities said those messages contained vulgar, obscene and sexually explicit language directed at Dean.
Additionally, Cilurso pleaded guilty to summary harassment in connection with a Dec. 25, 2021 incident in Aldan, court records show.
