Delco Murder-Suicide Victims Were Daughter, Father: Report

The tragic incident occurred Monday afternoon in Nether Providence Township when a man shot a woman then himself.

The victims of Monday's murder-suicide incident in Delaware County have been identified and the investigation revealed they were father and daughter.

The victims were Nicole C. Katerynczuk, 40, and Walter Katerynczuk, 64, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

The outlet reports the pair were father and daughter and lived together in Chester.

The incident unfolded at about 1:16 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 on the 900 block of South Providence Road in Nether Providence Township, according to township police.

Police responded to the area for a report of a shooting and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Nicole C. Katerynczuk was pronounced dead at the scene and Walter Katerynczuk was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, where he were pronounced deceased a short while later, police said.
