Delco To Raise Juneteenth Flag Wednesday, Hold Celebration Sunday
The county's first Juneteenth Celebration will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Rose Tree Park, featuring music, vendors, and more.
MEDIA, PA — Delaware County is gearing up to celebrate Juneteenth this weekend and will kick off celebrations by holding a flag raising ceremony Wednesday.
The flag raising will take place at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Rose Tree Park, at 1671 N. Providence Road in Media.
Rose Tree Park will also host the county's first annual Juneteenth Celebration.

The celebration is set for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 19 in the park.
Sunday's event will be hosted by Delaware County Council, the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association, and Taylor Made Vets.

Features include live music, artistic performances from local schools, vendors, food, and more.
Juneteenth flags will also fly at the Delaware County Courthouse and Government Center on Wednesday through Monday in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
