Delco Veterans Honored At Weekend Event
County officials not only honored area veterans, they announced an upcoming dinner for Global War on Terror Veterans.

Delaware County's military veterans were honored by fellow veterans, as well as county and local officials, at the Veteran's Appreciation Day in Ridley Township over the weekend.
County veterans were recognized Aug. 5 by members of VFW Post 928, Delaware County Councilmen John McBlain and Dave White, District Attorney Jack Whelan, Sheriff Mary McFall Hopper, Register of Wills Jen Holsten Maddaloni, and State Rep. Nick Miccarelli, Director of Delaware County’s Veterans and Military Affairs John Sheaffer, and the Ridley Township Board of Commissioners.
The event, held at the VFW in Ridley Township, was organized to thank and honor veterans across the county, officials said

During an opening ceremony, White announced a dinner to honor Global War on Terror Veterans. That dinner will be held on Sept. 28th at Stingers on the Waterfront in Ridley.
