Fix Flawed Mail-In Ballots, Delco Tells Voters
Flawed ballots are those that are damaged, unsigned, undated, improperly dated, unsealed, or not placed in the "secrecy envelope."
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Voters in Delaware County who have submitted flawed vote-by-mail ballots are reminded to correct them ahead of Tuesday's election.
Vote-by-mail ballots must be properly completed, sealed, signed, and dated to be counted before 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Any vote-by-mail ballot — whether a no-excuse mail-in ballot or a traditional absentee ballot — that is considered “flawed” may be disqualified.

Delaware County's Bureau of Elections is responsible for reviewing all vote-by-mail ballot envelopes that are returned in Delaware County.

Vote-by-mail ballots that are reviewed and determined to be flawed are then segregated, and the Bureau attempts to contact voters by emails or letters to give the voters a chance to obtain a new ballot at the Voter Service Center.
Voters who included an email address on their applications should check their inbox or spam box for such notification.
Voters who were notified that the ballot envelope is flawed must correct the ballot in-person at the Voter Service Center, located on the first floor of the Government Center Building, at 201 W. Front St., in Media.
Voters can get a replacement ballot and complete and return their ballot during the same visit.
Valid identification is required.
The Voter Service Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Voters who have yet to receive their vote-by-mail ballot can check the status online here and can visit the Voter Service Center to obtain a replacement ballot.
