Delco Woman Drunkenly Punched Main Line Medics: Authorities​

The woman now faces felony aggravated assault charges after the late July incident on the Main Line.

A Delaware County woman is facing charges, including two felonies, after a late July incident at a Main Line restaurant.

Joanne Macclelland, 51, of Ridley Park, faces two counts of felony aggravated assault, two counts of harassment by physical contact, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct after allegedly punching medics in Radnor Township on July 23, court records show.

Macclelland is set to appear for her preliminary hearing on Sept. 7 in front of Magisterial District Judge Leon Hunter, according to court documents.

Main Line Media News reports the charges were filed after medics arrived at the Wayne Chili's for an ill patron, who was later identified as Macclelland.

Macclelland, while allegedly intoxicated, punched medics as they attempted to put her into the ambulance and cursed at the medics, the outlet reports.
