Delco's Coronavirus Recovery Rate Nears 80 Percent

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County will move to the "green" phase of Gov. Tom Wolf's reopening plan next week, and that's due to the increasingly positive data regarding the coronavirus in the county.

According to the latest data from Chester County, Delco has a near 80 percent recovery rate from the virus.

The data shows of 7,050 cases in the county, 79 percent have recovered. Of the 7,050 cases, 2363 have been nursing home residents.

As of Friday, there have been 681 deaths in the county. Of the 681 deaths, 543 have been nursing home residents.

In total, 30,163 negative tests results have been reported in Delaware County.
