Sheriff Mary McFall Hopper is hosting "Operation Reset Saturday" in hopes of those with warrants coming forward without incident.

MEDIA, PA – Attention Delaware County residents with warrants. On Sept. 23 and Oct. 14, the county is hosting "Operation Reset Saturday" where you can turn yourself in without being cuffed in front of others.

Delaware County Sheriff Mary McFall Hopper is holding the operation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 and on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Delaware County Courthouse, 201 West Front St., Media.

This program will clear up a number of outstanding warrants in the county system and give wanted individuals a chance to pay for the laws they broke through fines, probation, community service and/or jail time, the county said.

This program creates an environment where individuals with warrants will be more comfortable turning themselves in instead of being handcuffed and arrested in front of family, neighbors, and friends, according to the county.

It eliminates and lowers possible problems arising from door service such as the injury sustained by Sgt. Nick Maraini in August when Jeromy Jones allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail type weapon at officers and burned Maraini, the county said.
