Donations Needed At Delco Gives Back Event Tuesday

MEDIA, PA — In an effort to support residents in need, Delaware County is hosting an event to give back.

Delco Gives Back is an event that will help those in need amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, members of the community are invited to drop off donations including non-perishable food, baby items, pet items cleaning items, and masks from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Penn State Brandywine Campus, at 25 Yearsley Mill Road (Route 352) in Media.

Donations will be made via no-contact drive through.

Volunteers will collect items brought for donation from vehicles.

All items donated will be distributed by members of Delaware County Emergency Services and the Citizen Corps of Delaware County.

Items sought for donation include:

• Non-perishable food
  • canned meats
  • unsweetened cereal
  • spices
  • powdered milk
• Baby items
  • diapers
  • wipes
  • formula
• Pet food
• Cat litter
• Cleaning supplies
• Laundry detergent
• Paper towels
• Toilet paper
• Disposable and homemade cloth masks

Those who make donations will be gifted items such as "Delco Strong" car magnets and giveaways from Delaware County Libraries and Wawa.
