Two troopers and the driver were outside their respective vehicles, standing in the highway's left shoulder, when a Dodge sedan sped into the left lane, striking the back of the marked police vehicle, and nearly striking the troopers and driver.

The Dodge's driver, later identified as Lawver, got out of her vehicle and was not hurt, police said.

The troopers conducted a Standardized Field Sobriety Test on Lawver, which revealed signs of impairment, authorities said.

She was taken into custody and charged.

State police said the troopers on scene noted the Lawver did not try to stop, noting no tire marks from braking were seen on the highway.

Lawver was released after posting 10 percent of $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear for a Dec. 4 preliminary hearing, court documents show.
