Auditions for Von Trapp Children in "Sound of Music"

The Media Theatre, located at 104 East State Street in Media, is seeking youth performers 
to play the Von Trapp children in its holiday production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is one of the world's most popular shows.

At The Media Theatre, it will mark the directorial debut of actor Patrick Ludt. Jesse Cline, Artistic Director, oversees the auditions and all casting. Tom Fosnocht is the show's Music Director.

Auditions will held on Saturday August 13  starting at 9:30am.

 Seeking Freidrich, age 14/15; Luisa, age 13/14; Kurt age 10/11; Brigitta, age 9/10; Marta, age 7/8 and
Gretl, age 5/6. Please prepare music showing vocal range and be prepared to move if asked.

 THE SOUND OF MUSIC begins rehearsal Nov 1 and opens Nov 22, playing thru Jan.15, 2012. This production performs on/around Thanksgiving, Hanukah,
Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Years Day. The Von Trapp children will be double cast, and will perform on a rotating basis.

Priority in casting will be given to students enrolled in the New School at the Media Theatre. No pay involved but a small stipend will be paid at the end of the run.
