Celtic Rockers Jamison plays Benefit Concert in Media

A state of the art recording studio right here in Media? Absolutely! Just off Baltimore Pike behind Gibbons Automotive is the Media Music Studio.  This long time Media facility has been recording local bands and teaching budding young musicians the music craft for over 5 years.   Media Music Studio has just been renovated and to celebrate, they are holding a benefit concert for the Young Musicians Foundation. The Foundation offers music scholarships in the form of free music lessons to students.  The lessons are provided by the studios talented staff of 6 teachers who specialize in piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, voice and stage presence.

Jamison, a popular local Celtic rock band, will be performing a benefit concert Friday, June 29th. The band has been featured in Fox Good Day Philadelphia’s promotion of the Penn’s Landing Irish Festival, headlined the Phoenixville Concert Series, rocked the main stage at the 5000+ attended Running of the Santa’s, played the Cape May County Irish Fall Festival (Wildwood NJ), the Delmarva Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration, and of course Philadelphia’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade celebration. Jamison blends traditional modern sounds of Irish music with Rock and Roll resulting in a unique sound.  Jamison offers what has been called ‘one of the most high energy shows on the east coast’, with dynamic reels mixed with rock, reggae, modern pop, hiphop dance beats and just about every cover genre – all while never straying far from their Irish roots. Media Music Studio manager and co-owner, Jamie Brown, noted that the concert will also serve as a venue to record Jamison live for an upcoming DVD release as well.

The band will be joined by Irish dance school troop the Celtic Flames who often accompany the band at concerts.  The Irish dancers have been known to appear donning Jamison shirts and leading the crowd in jumps and cheers pushing concerts to a level of excitement that few live shows can produce.
