Greater Philadelphia's first Mid-Autumn Chinese Festival is a daylong event featuring a multicultural mix of exhibits, food/retail vendors, and music and dance performances both in the museum's auditorium and its outdoor amphitheater. Activities will spotlight Chinese culture, modern China and Philadelphia's history in U.S.-China relations. The event culminates into a unique must see evening concert including world-renowned Bright Sheng's brilliant reinventions of Chinese folk tunes, Curtis Institute of Music alumnae and young rising star Ya-Jhu Yang's enchanting songs and her new trio for pipa, erhu and cello! Daytime festivities are open to the public and free of charge. Evening concert is $35 per ticket, and can be purchased online at http://www.mlccc.org/concert/.
