An energetic teenage heroine wins a role on a local TV dance program in the 1960's. She becomes a celebrity overnight, launching a campaign for social justice while seeking true love...and big hair! The great score includes "Good Morning Baltimore".
Based on John Water's '80's flick, "Hairspray" incorporates fun and a serious relevant message with lots of high-energy choreography and humor. Featuring Springfield's own Victoria Mayo as Tracy Turnblad and Broadway's William Thomas Evans as Edna Turnblad.
