FAQ for Penncrest Graduation at Villanova University

Everything you need to know before attending Penncrest High School graduation.

Here is a list of everything you need to know before attending graduation. Please enjoy Penncrest's 54th Commencement while being respectful of all the graduates and families. Check back on Friday for complete graduation coverage and be sure to . 

Start Time

  • Graduation ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at the Pavilion at Villanova University but guests may enter the Pavilion as early as 6 p.m.

Directions to Villanova University

  • Allow 60-minute travel time
  • Exit the Blue Route (I-476) at Exit #13 (St. Davids/Villanova)
  • Turn Right at the first traffic light (Route 30)
  • Follow past Villanova Main Campus to Ithan Avenue
    • Senior citizens and handicapped citizens turn Left on Ithan Avenue and proceed to entrance of the Pavilion (Second Right) for drop off in front.
    • All other traffic turn Right on Ithan Avenue and park in either of the large lots.

Student Report Time

  • Students should report to the Jake Nevin Field House at 6 p.m. in preparation for the ceremony, wearing their caps and gowns.

Tickets

  • Students were given eight tickets for family and friends. Tickets have already been distributed to students but note that students with outstanding unmet obligations will not receive tickets. 
  • Only guests with tickets will be permitted to enter the arena regardless of age. The front row on each side of the arena and seating in the back of the arena is reserved for spectators who are elderly or handicapped.
  • The deadline for last minute ticket requests has passed. 

Photography and Behavior 

  • Photography is permitted during the graduation ceremony, but must be taken from your seat, only. Please be aware of your impact on other guests. There will be a professional photographer from Lifetouch Studios taking pictures of each graduate as they receive their diploma. You may view and purchase this photo.
  • Parents and guests are reminded that signs, banners, balloons, noisemakers, air horns, etc. are not appropriate for commencement ceremonies and are not permitted in the Pavilion. Please remember every student deserves to have his or her moment in the spotlight.
