Fatal Accident Reported On Blue Route In Delco

One person was killed in an accident early Saturday on the Blue Route in Nether Providence Township, 6ABC reported.

According to the report, the accident happened at 12:45 a.m. after the driver, a 37-year-old man, lost control of his car between the Swarthmore/Media exit and McDade Boulevard.

The driver, who died, and a passenger were trapped in the car and it took rescuers more than 30 minutes to get the people out of the car, 6ABC reported.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
