Get Out: Eat Pancakes, Dance, Ski for Charity

1. Elwyn's Teddy Bedrossian Ski-a-Thon

When/Where: Saturday, March 3, at 8 a.m. at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, Pa.
Why Go: The Elwyn community is hitting the slopes to raise funds for needed renovations at the Davidson School. The Ski-a-Thon was founded in 2011 in memory of Teddy Bedrossian, a former Elwyn Davidson School student, who died at the age of 18.

4. "Celebrating Differences" Film Festival & Art Exhibit
Where/When: Saturday, March 3 from 2 to 6 p.m. at , 901 Media Line Rd in Marple Township
Why Go: Art exhibitors include painters, jewelers and pottery. Live performances by Johnny Crescendo, contemporary composer and pianist Willy Potts, actors from Arts YOUniverse and Verve Vertu and films by The Sprout Touring Film Festival.

5. Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast
Where/When: Saturday, March 3 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Havertown Applebee's, 1305 West Chester Pike in Havertown
Why Go: Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes as the Junior's Women's Club of Springfield raises money for the Be The Change charity. Raffle baskets and door prizes will also be available.
