Give Blood In Media This Holiday Season

MEDIA, PA — The holiday season is the giving season, and what better gift to give than the gift of life?

This season, the American Red Cross is urging eligible donors to be the lifeline for patients in need this holiday season by making an appointment to give blood or platelets.

There are several upcoming drives in Media where you can donate.

They are:

• 11/29/2019: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 Providence Road
• 12/12/2019: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Building 2 Conference Center, 1400 N. Providence Road
• 12/17/2019: 2 p.m. - 7 p.m., Media First United Methodist Church, 350 W. State St.
• 12/18/2019: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Rocky Run YMCA, 1299 W. Baltimore Pike

While helping to save lives is likely motivation enough, those who come out to give Nov. 18 through Dec. 18 will also receive a $5 Amazon Gift Card via email, courtesy of Suburban Propane.

Additionally, those who come to give Nov. 27 through Nov. 30 will receive an exclusive long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last.

As schedules fill with holiday parties, shopping and fun with friends and family, many blood and platelet donors delay giving.
