Gritty To Tour Media Thursday Night On Fire Truck

MEDIA, PA — In an effort to bring cheer to those staying at home due to the coronavirus, Flyers mascot Gritty will be making rounds in Delaware County Thursday evening.

The raucous mascot will be visiting folks in Media tonight with the help of the Rocky Run Fire Company.

Gritty will ride on a Rocky Run Fire Company truck and make visits to various areas in Media from about 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

He will start at the Granite Run Mall, head to Penncrest High School, then to Glenwood Elementary School. From there he will go to Linvilla Orchards, then to Indian Lane Elementary School. The route will end at Riddle Hospital where he will thank health care workers.

The fire company is reminding community members who are planning to watch Gritty pass by to practice social distancing by remaining vehicles, wear a mask, and maintaining 6 feet of distance from other.
