I teach electric and acoustic guitar lessons in person close to Springfield and Swarthmore. I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years and have experience teaching all ages of students. I also perform with my classic rock band The Garage Bandits most weekends and can help students get comfortable playing in front of other people. My teaching space is located at 34 Yale Avenue, Morton, PA. Contact me for more information or to set up a free trial lesson! I will be starting a new group guitar class on April 20th! This class will run for 6 sessions over the course of 7 weeks on Mondays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The focus of this class will be on teaching song melodies to beginners, such as Ode To Joy by Beethoven and Happy Birthday. Each week I will introduce slightly more complicated melodies that will help develop students' ability to play single note melodies on the guitar.

Despite the hot, gloomy weather on Sunday afternoon, brought hundreds of people to downtown Media to enjoy the tremendous collection of historic automobiles. Among the 202 vehicles displayed on and around State Street, the free show featured beautifully maintained cars from as early as the 1930s. Car collectors and fans alike enjoyed raffles, awards and classic tunes that the collectors may have even blasted from their rides decades ago.  The Delco Cruisers Car Club,  and  sponsored this year's event.      <a href="https://media.patch.com/newsletters" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Have you signed up for Media Patch's newsletter yet? </a>

SISTERHOOD OF THE ROSE: Chants for the Divine Mother

A lot of my group class students expressed an interest in taking a music theory class, so starting June 15th, I will be offering just that! This class is for anyone who wants to learn more about topics such as how chords get their names, what exactly are keys, and why should I learn scales? Although this class is geared toward guitar players, any instrumentalist is welcome to join. We’ll cover the basics such as the names of the notes, the major scale formula, and how the basic chords are constructed from the notes in the key. Feel free to contact me with any questions about the material. This class will run for 6 sessions on Mondays at 7:30pm – 8:30 from June 15th through July 27th. No class will be held on July 13th.
