Iconic Delco Bar Getting Sold, Leaving Unknown Future

A sales agreement was announced for one of Delco's best-known bars for sports and live music.

RIDLEY TOWNSHIP, PA — A sales agreement has been reached on one of Delaware County's best-known bars for sports and live music.

Tom N Jerry's Sports Pub in Ridley Township opened in the mid-90s, serving as a local hub for live bands through the decades. With about two-dozen TVs, it has also been one of Delco's most prominent sports bars.

The bar has been up for sale for quite some time. On Friday, one of the owners announced that an agreement of sale was in place.

Details on the sales agreement haven't been revealed. And it's unclear what will happen after the bar on MacDade Boulevard changes hands.

"As for the next chapter of the business, I honestly can’t say for sure what the future holds or what direction the new owner plans to take," said Nerissa Reheuser Burns, one of the bar owners. "That will be for time to tell."
