The person shot was one of four men who were attacking another man in the parking lot, police said.

An investigation revealed all parties involved were known to each other and are either current or former members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club, which the ATF describes as an outlaw motorcycle club, police said.

Witness and video accounts revealed a man drove to the Wawa, got out of his vehicle, then confronted and began fighting with another man in the parking lot, according to police.

Three other men who were talking with the man in the parking lot punched and kicked the man who arrived by vehicle, police said.

During the altercation, the man who came to the Wawa by vehicle pulled out a gun and fired a single shot, striking the shooting victim in the lower leg, police said.

Everyone involved in the fracas and shooting fled the scene, police said.
