Jan 6 Rioter From Delco Who Called Girlfriend 'Moron' Sentenced
Richard Michetti texted his girlfriend while at the Capitol. calling her a "moron" if she didn't believe the election was stolen.

RIDLEY PARK, PA — A Delaware County man who was turned in to the FBI by his girlfriend after he called her a "moron" while he participated in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the United States Capitol has been sentenced to prison.
Richard Michetti, 29, of Ridley Park, was hit with a nine-month sentence in federal prison on charges of obstruction of an official proceeding.
He was also handed a two-year probation sentence after his release and ordered to pay $2,000 restitution, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Michetti pleaded guilty to the charge in June.
He was charged after his ex-girlfriend reportedly turned him in to the FBI after he was involved in the riot.

Michetti is alleged to have texted his ex-girlfriend on Jan. 6 from the United States Capitol, calling her "a moron" if she didn't "see the election was stolen," a line echoed by President Donald Trump with no evidence to support it, according to court records.
His ex-girlfriend turned over text messages, photos, and videos sent to her from Michetti to the FBI on Jan. 7, court documents show.
