Local Students Receive Honors, Awards from Millersville, Chestnut Hill College

Below is a list of a few local students who recently received accolades from their college or university.

Chestnut Hill College

Hannah Brown, a psychology major from Media, was named to the Dean's List at Chestnut Hill College for the Spring 2012 semester.

Students are named to the Dean's List if they have achieved a GPA of 3.6 or higher, and are recognized at Opening Convocation held in the Fall semester.

Marquette University

Kyle McElwee, of Media, has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. McElwee is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Messiah College

Media resident Wesley Thompson, a senior majoring in music education (K-12), was named to the dean's list for the 2012 spring semester at Messiah College. Dean's list is earned by receiving a 3.6 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. 

Millersville University

The following local residents have been named to Millersville University of Pennsylvania's Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester:

Jamie E. Duca, a sophomore from Media and Seri Lee, a sophomore from Media.

The 1,382 students named to Millersville University's spring 2012 Dean's List earned a semester grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher and attempted at least 12 credits of course work. 

York College of Pennsylvania 

Laura Amoroso, of Media, a senior Early Childhood Education major, was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester at York College of Pennsylvania.

To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
