GLEN MILLS, PA — A longtime brunch spot in Delaware County will soon be for sale. But ownership hopes the buyer will continue operating the business.

"Nothing would make us happier than seeing a new family or ownership group carry on the Meghan's tradition here in Garnet Valley," the announcement says. "At the same time, we understand that someone may bring a new vision to the space, and we support that possibility as well."

Business partners Laurie Skelley and Dan Wesolowski opened Meghan's on March 17, 1998, according to the restaurant's website. Staples of the eatery include huge omelets and sandwiches, homemade salads and desserts.

After nearly three decades, ownership decided "the time has come for our family to begin thinking about our next chapter," the closing announcement says.

"During this transition, we ask for your continued support - just as you've shown us for the past 27 years," the announcement says. "We promise to keep the community informed and to share updates as the future becomes clearer, including if or when the business changes hands and what that may look like."

Meghan's is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 1117 Smithbridge Rd., Glen Mills.
